Sketch War Recap

Richard's got the final numbers on today's sketch war. It might not have been WW III, but we gave 'em hell.

For those of you standing on the sidelines, shaking in your boots; tuck in your skirts and get in the fight.

For those of you who battled, bled and lived to tell the tale, I tip my hat to you and say "Nice work. You are worthy adversaries whom I look forward to disemboweling next week."

Do you have a friend?

Kind of tall and thin, with short, light brown hair?

Who's involved somehow in the show "Skin in Flames" at Stage Left?

Er...umm...It's possible. I know several people that fit that general description. Why, was I thanked profusely in someone's bio?

I was at the BookCellar in Lincoln Square, and I heard a voice:

"Brownlee."

I didn't pay attention, until he got closer:

"Michael?"

I looked up, and the guy was looking right at me. I said, "Nope."

He said, "Oh! Sorry."

I said, "I know Michael Brownlee. We get mistaken for each other from time to time."

He said, "When I saw you, I was kind of behind this card rack. But now, of course... Heh..."

I didn't get his name, but I overheard him mention to his friends that he was involved with something that went up at Stage Left on Tuesday at 7:30. I got online and did some detective work, and "Skin in Flames" fits that description.

Hmmm. The only fellow I know who's involved with Stage Left is John Saudners. He'd fit the description too. We did a show together years ago. Nice guy. Next time you see him say hi for me. Or rather as me.
